System Benefits
Survivability
RG33 Series vehicles provide an advanced level of survivability by incorporating the latest designs that protect against improvised explosive devices (IEDs), medium machine gun or small arms fire and mine blast protection at a level equal to or exceeding any fielded mine-protected vehicle. The RG33 incorporates a monocoque v-shaped hull design that leverages knowledge gained in recent and ongoing conflicts. Advanced crew and passenger survivability is obtained through blast-resistant seating technology, transparent armor and unique interior stations. In addition, vehicles may be equipped with add-on armor packages for bolt-on EFP and RPG protection.
Advanced Mobility
The RG33 Series offers more volume under armor than any other mine-protected vehicle to provide maximum troop carrying capacity and to give Warfighters optimum maneuverability on the battlefield. The platform’s advanced power train enables the vehicle to safely operate on any terrain and maintain pace with other high-speed combat vehicles. The power train options include 400 hp, 450 hp and 600 hp.
Mission Flexibility
The RG33 Series provides superior mission flexibility by being configurable for Command and Control, Infantry Carrier, Ambulance, Command and Control, Convoy Escort, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Utility, Maintenance and Recovery missions, other roles for U.S. Special Operations and is recoverable by another RG33. The vehicle features on-board exportable power for C4I and other mission equipment.
Commonality
The RG33 Series of vehicles (4x4 and 6x6) features more than 90 percent parts commonality, which provides acquisition, operations, and maintenance cost savings. This commonality streamlines the production supply chain and allows production lines to cost-effectively deliver a variety of vehicle configurations based upon customer requirements.
