Joint Assault Bridge Program
The Joint Assault Bridge (JAB) is a program between the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps to update tactical gap crossing capability in both services. BAE Systems is the provider of the launch mechanism and ancillary equipment for the program.
The JAB consists of an M1A1 tank chassis modified to accommodate the BAE Systems Titan bridge-launching mechanism with existing tactical bridge components.
This will replace the current Armored Vehicle Launched Bridge system that still uses an obsolete M60 tank chassis.
Integration is being done in conjunction with the Anniston Army Depot. |
