Check 6™, View 12™ and 360° Situational Awareness
The BAE Systems Check 6™, View 12™ and 360 SA Ground Vehicle Vision Systems provide day, night and all-weather vision to ground vehicle crews, offering them enhanced vision capability from within the protective armor of their vehicle. Utilizing Long Wave Infrared (LWIR) technology common to the currently fielded Thermal Weapon Sight (TWS), the Check-6 and View-12 systems contain the thermal sensors that are molded into the housings of the vehicles' rear tail lamps and the front turn-signal lamps. Check 6™ and View 12™ offer a direct replacement to the lamp housings currently installed on over 250,000 fielded military vehicles. Check 6™ is currently part of the Bradley Urban Survivability Kit (BUSK), the Abrams Tank Urban Survivability Kit (TUSK) programs and is the common rear vision system for the U.S. Army Heavy Brigade Combat team vehicles.
The BAE Systems 360-SA Vision System provides Combat Vehicle crews with the additional capability of full 360 degree panoramic day, night and all-weather vision with selectable color visible or LWIR images at up to three independently-controlled display stations in the vehicle. The multiple sensors of the 360-SA system are mounted into low profile externally-mounted pods on the vehicle forward and aft sections. A 360-SA system installed on the Bradley TD participated in the 2007 U.S. Army AAEF exercise and is planned to participate in the 2008 AAEF with added system features and capability.
Check 6™, View 12™ and 360-SA are displayed on the Bradley Technology Demonstrator (BTD II) vehicle. Check 6™ and View 12™ are also displayed on the
RG33 vehicle. |
