Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) Cannon
The U.S. Army’s NLOS Cannon is a fully automated, 155-mm, self-propelled howitzer being designed and built by BAE Systems, in partnership with General Dynamics Land Systems and the Future Combat Systems (FCS) Lead System Integrator team of Boeing and Science Applications International Corporation.
The push-button firepower of the NLOS Cannon meets the U.S. Army’s need for a precise artillery system that requires fewer crew, fewer supplies and increases survivability.
The U.S. Army and BAE Systems unveiled the first NLOS Cannon prototype in June 2008 and will build a total of five prototypes by the end of the year.
The first NLOS Cannon prototypes are undergoing testing at U.S. Army test facilities. Through the NLOS Cannon, BAE Systems is demonstrating the most advanced combat vehicle capabilities available to our Soldiers today. Learn more at www.nloscannon.com. |
