Thermal Weapon Sights (TWS)

Thermal Weapon Sights (TWS) enable Soldiers to detect, observe and engage hostile targets deep in the battlefield independent of darkness and common battlefield obscurants for enhanced lethality and survivability.

Three TWS variants have been developed and qualified – the Light Weapon Thermal Sight (LWTS) for individual Soldier weapons, the Medium Weapon Thermal Sight (MWTS) for machine guns and the Heavy Weapon Thermal Sight (HWTS) for crew-served weapons – and are in full-rate production to meet current fielding requirements.
