BAE Systems - AUSA 2008 - Tactical Warfighter Network Node (TWNN) Radio

Tactical Warfighter Network Node (TWNN) Radio

The TWNN solution provides on-the-move, self-forming, selfhealing networked communications with greater bandwidth capacity and increased range for improved Force XXI Battle Command, Brigade-and-Below (FBCB2) operation. It enhances the U.S. Army’s data distribution system.

TWNN is interoperable with the existing communications infrastructure and future forces and can provide connectivity to the dismounted Soldier through Soldier Radio Waveform (SRW) implementation. (SRW is the waveform chosen for the dismounted layer within FCS.)

BAE Systems’ 802.16 differentiates itself in the marketplace by implementing the necessary security architecture and is undergoing FIPS 140-2 certification.
