L-ROD is a lightweight, low-cost, highly-effective passive defense system that defeats rocket-propelled grenades.

L-ROD employs a modular design that is adaptable to nearly all light armored vehicles. This design ensures maximum commonality across the entire fleet, permits quick and easy repairs and substantially reduces sustainment costs.

L-ROD kits are deployed on the Buffalo and RG-31 and systems are being produced for the JERRV Cougar, the Caiman and other MRAP-class vehicles.
