Joint Situational Awareness System (JSAS)

JSAS provides a truly big picture of “automatic alerting” situational awareness by focusing on executive-level information sharing requirements and pulling together state-of-the-art intelligence sensors, video mapping, integration and network technologies.

JSAS provides Soldiers the ability to enhance force protection of units, bases and installations and those personnel, physical assets and information located thereon/therewith. JSAS enables the Soldier to detect assets, warn and defend and recover before, during and after an all-hazard incident.

JSAS is currently installed and operational in the New York City (NYC) region providing a shared situational awareness and common operating picture to agencies in and surrounding the NYC region. The JSAS solution is utilized by local, state and federal authorities, including the Department of Defense.
