Future Systems Overview

Future Combat Systems (FCS) is the centerpiece of the Army's vision to transform into a fighting force that is more lethal, agile and rapidly deployable than any ground combat force in the world. As a key member of the FCS One Team, BAE Systems is providing critical FCS and Network Centric Operations technologies, such as the Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) Cannon and Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS), which give Soldiers unmatched firepower, situational awareness and survivability.

BAE Systems is a key FCS teammate on manned and unmanned development teams and is developing a common design architecture with network connectivity for the eight FCS Manned Ground Vehicles, as well as mission modules for the NLOS Cannon, NLOS Mortar, Infantry Combat Vehicle, Medical Vehicle and Field Recovery, and Maintenance Vehicle. BAE Systems is the vehicle integrator for Assault and Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition (RSTA) variants of the Armed Robotic Vehicle.
