System Benefits

Weapon Interfaces
Our CROWS main weapon is the M2 Heavy Barrel (HB) .50 cal 12.7mm heavy machine gun with a 1,500 m range. BAE Systems' CROWS features an adaptable cradle mechanism to allow for quick exchange with three additional weapons including the Mk 19 grenade machine gun, M240B 7.62mm and M249 5.56mm machine guns.

Lethality
The M2 HB .50 cal machine gun fires ammunition at a firing rate of up to 550 rounds per minute with a single shot, programmable burst and continuous firing capability.

Command and Control
The CROWS fire control system provides two-axis stabilization, forward-looking infrared night vision system with three fields of view, a low-contrast, low-light-level color camera and an eye-safe laser range finder. A super-elevation feature is utilized to fire the Mk 19 grenade machine gun. These features maximize warfighters' situational awareness during combat.

Survivability
BAE Systems' CROWS provides for crew-safe conditions with a remote operation console located within the vehicle. Armor is available for critical areas of the mount.

Adaptability
BAE Systems' CROWS can be installed on any military vehicle with a simple vehicle adaptor kit.
