Band Track delivers wheel-like performance while at speed, providing advantages over tires by providing true all-terrain capability, delivering aggressive cross-country performance, including obstacle negotiation and sharp turns. Significant early development has been completed, making Band Track ready for System Development and Demonstration (SDD).

Band track is derived from commercial equipment, such as snowmobiles and construction equipment, and provides significant advantages over steel track. Initial trials indicate a life improvement of about twice that of traditional track, with a significant weight reduction of approximately half. The reduced unsprung mass of Band Track reduces vibration and thermal signature as well.
